Recent update:
Fuji now offers prints without their watermark on the back of commercial size paper. This was due to an increasing demand to remove the watermark due to its visibility in commercial backlighting situations.
Per Fuji film, U.S.A., Inc:
“For commercial prints, only small volumes of paper are not wider than 16 inches. Over the past five or six years, commercial lab clients were under pressure from their clients to provide images on paper for free-hanging at retail or in windows, where backlighting the watermark may make it visible in the image area. This may formerly have been the venue of graphic arts printing, but now growing for the impact and higher quality of silver halide prints forced us to remove our Fujicolor Crystal Archive watermark from our most popular commercial paper, Matte surface in widths greater than twelve inches. Glossy commercial paper is still watermarked, but is less often free-hanging or in windows due to surface glare. Glossy is still preferred for fine are print production normally framed for display.”
Pixelide offers true RA4, Silver Halide professional photo prints.
Your photos are printed on archival quality Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper, with archival qualities of approx. 50+ years.

What is the print material used for photo prints?
Pixelide offers photo prints on Fujicolor Crystal Archive professional photographic paper, processed with Fuji Hunt Chemicals. The archival quality of this process is 50+ years, before fading may occur. This is the same process that you would find at select quality pro-photo labs.
Can I print PSD or TIFF files?
Yes. You can order professional photo prints form PSD or TIFF files. This is supported by automatically converting PSD, TIFF, BMP or GIF files into a JPEG file of the same, original size. We would like to make you aware that color accuracy may not be optimal for prints on non JPEG formats.
For best results, we highly recommend printing from JPEG files with a minimum resolution of 200 dpi.
Is there a volume or duplicate print discount?
Yes. We offer discounts on duplicate photo prints. Please refer to the price chart for actual prices. The discount is automatically calculated when you place the order.
Example: if the price of your order is $1.00 and Dup. price is $0.85. If you place an order for 3 prints, the total will be $1.00 + $0.85 + $0.85 = $ $2.70 total.
Is there a file size limit to order prints online?
There is no file size limit for your online prints order. For example, if you have the Biz pack, you can upload extremely large files, up to 5GB.
What are my shipping options for print orders?
Shipping and handling is calculated on a order-quantity and shipping-method basis. The size of your order and shipping method you choose will ultimately determine what your charges will be.
Shipping Options:
First Class Shipping:
First class shipping is standard USPS mail and is available for smaller quantity orders. Domestic customers can expect to receive their orders in 5-10 mailing days from the time it is shipped depending on their location.
Priority Shipping:
Priority mail is a speedier version of First Class. For enveloped-prints and flat-print packaging, orders are for an additional .50¢ per / 5 and for tube-packed prints for an additional .50¢ per print. The USPS maintains that all domestic orders will generally arrive within 2-4 mailing days from the time they are shipped.
2nd Day Shipping:
We offer "next business day" shipping. With weekends and holidays of course the next business day is not necessarily the next calendar day. For instance if you placed an order after noon on a Friday your order will ship on Monday. To ensure you receive your order in a timely manner, please be aware that holidays and weekends affect "the next business day".
Flat Packed Prints:
Prints 8x10 and 8x12 will be packaged and shipped in a rigid cardboard "flat pack" envelope. Due to their size, shipping options for flat packed prints begin with Priority Mail and increase in expense from there. Sometimes, if you order includes both 8x10 prints as well as smaller sizes, all can be shipped in the same flat packed enveloped.
Tubed Prints:
Prints sized 11x14 or greater must be shipped in a cardboard tube to ensure their protection during shipment. If you have a multi part order with several pieces, these tubes can be placed in a larger box with the other parts to your order to save you the expense of us having to ship you multiple items.
What are the shipping cut off times?
Orders received by midnight, typically ship the next business day. In case of special sizes, large format prints, please allow 2 business days before shipment.
Do you offer weekend shipments?
We ship orders in our system every shift we have in the lab, which is every day, except Sunday. However, the only orders that are really going to move on Saturday and Sunday are the FedEx overnight orders; the other orders may be picked up by FedEx / USPS but will sit at the USPS or FedEx facility until the next business day unless they are shipped FedEx overnight. So you should count business days (M-F) for shipment estimates.
When will Print orders placed on Fridays ship?
If the order is placed by midnight Friday it should ship by Monday; in reality it will likely ship Saturday (again, depending on the complexity of the order). Please refer to "Weekend Shipments" for more info.
What are the shipping charges?
Minimum print order is $15.00 including shipping charges. Shipping rates are calculated in real time, according to the quantity, size and shipping address you provide. After making all your choices for print sizes, proceed to checkout. During the checkout process, the mailing address screen will automatically load real time, current shipping prices and all available shipping options.
Can I print from iPhoto?
- We suggest Not to drag & drop iPhoto thumbnails because iPhoto exports them at 72 dpi - Not advisable for prints!
- Edited images in iPhoto? We suggest you import them into Aperture or Lightroom so that you can up the resolution to 200 dpi
I have thousands of edited images in iPhoto. How can I print these using Pixelide?
- Images edited in iPhoto only export with a low 72 dpi. (not best for professional quality prints).
- We suggest using Aperture. Use it to import your iPhoto library and then export images with a min. 200 dpi resolution.
Professional photo print finishes: Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper with more vivid color reproduction and brilliant whites.
Glossy Finish Prints.
Glossy finish offers vibrant colors on shiny prints. Images are crisp and sharp, however susceptible to fingerprints, smudges and produce glare making it.
Matte Finish Prints.
Images printed on Matte paper tend to have a more professional look. This is especially true for black and white photos. There is minimal glare on matte-finish photo prints .
Lustre Finish Prints.
Lustre® is the new high quality finish from Fuji Film ® Lustre finish offers a perfect balance between Glossy and Matte. Just as a satin finish is midway between glossy and matte, Lustre falls a little closer to glossy and gives you better contrast like the glossy papers do, but without the annoying shine you can get from glossy RC style papers. The surface of Lustre prints is modestly textured and it has a satin like sheen Lustre print paper is .7mils thicker than gloss and matte.
Fit / Crop and aspect ratio for your photo prints.
The aspect ratio of your image could be different from the aspect ratio of print paper. Therefore you have a choice to "Crop or Anchor" your "FIT" the entire image on printed paper.
Custom crop print is the most flexible method of printing exactly what you want on a pre-selected output size.
Steps for custom crop prints:
- Position the semi-transparent box that appears on top of your image thumbnail to an area you want to print
- Select any output size. The box aspect ratio will change and match our output size
- Position and focus the box on exactly what you want to print and save
- After successfully saving the crop settings, you will notice a red box over your thumbnail highlighting the print area
Fit or Full Frame prints.
"Fit" is the same as "Full Frame." This option will scale and print the entire image on designated out size. This leaves a chance of white borders either on the short or long side, if the aspect ratio of your image is different from the print output aspect ratio.
"Crop" is the same as "Anchor." Anchor points available: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Center. This option lets you anchor your image to any corner of the printed paper or center the image onto the print paper. Selecting this option could result on a portion of your image being cut off from the print.
Duplicate Print Instructions.
One click lets you duplicate all print instructions on the entire list of image files selected. It copies print paper type, size, alignment and borders settings across your entire photo collection. Thereafter you may edit individual print sizes if you like or simply place the bulk print order from your Workspace.
Photo enhancement options.
"Enhance" feature is available on the print ordering screen. It uses "I2E" enhancement algorithm through various techniques described below:
ABE: The Adaptive Brightness and Contrast Enhancement will stretch the histogram of the image and apply a gamma density correction.
ACE: The Adaptive Color Enhancement corrects even non linear color casts of the image.
SHE: The Shadow and Highlight Enhancement will show details in the shadows of dark or contrasted images. In the highlights it will accentuate details to prevent saturation.
MCE: Memory Color Enhancement will locally enhance important colors. Memory colors are for example skin tones, vegetation green and sky blue.
GSE: Global Sharpness Enhancement is an advanced un-sharp masking which prevents edge overshot.
LSE: Local Sharpness Enhancement will sharpen only parts of the image. For example vegetation is more sharpened then sky to prevent the apparition of pixel noise in the sky.
LNR: Local Noise Reduction will remove pixel noise from the image.
ICC: ICC profiling provides the tools to apply ICC profile conversions to the images.
